White School(After School)

Artist's note

For us, the classroom represents "our image" and "the reflection of society" in which we live. We can realize and feel how, how long, and how I have lived through elements consisting of landscapes, color, and desk arrangement. It draws memories of our childhood, which is gradually forgetting our dreams and living passive lives, and contains each person's true inner appearance, passion, and microscopic intention to reflect on those desperate times when they were running toward their dreams. Therefore, I define the classroom as a 'mirror' that reflects my image.

Introduction

You are in a white classroom. The entire classroom in Wadongbungyo branch school was made white. The desks, chairs, walls, floor, all white. As if the floor will be swept soon after the school, all the chairs are put on top of the desks. It is like the students whose turn has come to clean up the classroom would show up with brooms and mops anytime. The artist did a great job in creating such a familiar after-school scene. I am curious all of a sudden. What are the students who studied in the classroom that is just like this society doing now?
